Congolese singer ‘attacked by Algerian’ in France
Congolese musician Aimé Nkanu says he has alerted French police after suffering a racist attack.
Photos he shared online show cuts and a large swelling on his forehead.
In a Facebook post made on Sunday he described his assailant as an Algerian man, adding “our Arabic-speaking brothers must stop with this complex and violence against black people”.
Nkanu, who’s known for the Christian messages in his songs, said he had “forgiven” his attacker but would let investigations run their course.
