Guinea junta announces number to report abuses
Guinea’s military junta, which took power last week, has announced a toll-free number for civilians to report any abuses by the security forces.
The number 100 is available to all telephone operators in Guinea.
The junta announced a four-day consultation programme with different groups starting Tuesday.
The meetings will involve religious leaders, civil society groups and business people among other groups.
The junta has in the past said it was committed to the transition process.
A mission of the West African regional group Ecowas met the junta on Friday and said that the deposed President Alpha Condé was in good health.
