Hundreds gather outside court for Zuma’s trial
Hundreds of supporters of former South Africa President Jacob Zuma have gathered outside Pietermaritzburg High Court where his corruption trial has started following multiple delays.
Mr Zuma is accused of receiving bribes from a French arms manufacturer. He has always denied any wrong doing.
The BBC’s Nomsa Maseko has tweeted a video of Mr Zuma’s arrival at the court.
Mr Zuma’s son, Duduzane Zuma, told the BBC that the former president had always been ready for the trial.Quote Message: He’s been innocent from day one. He’s been ready for the case from day one. People should not be saying he’s been delaying his day in court. He was merely exercising his constitutional rights which he fought for.

If his constitutional rights are denied, I mean what was the use of him fighting for rights in this country? He must exercise the very same rights he was fighting for.”
