Voters wait in line in Ethiopia’s Ambo town
Voters in Ethiopia’s Ambo town – where only ruling party candidates are running – have turned out for the election.
The opposition has boycotted the election.
Guder town is 12km (7.4 miles) from Ambo town and is home to top opposition candidate Prof Merera Gudina.
In Guder, only Prosperity Party candidates are running for parliament and state counci.
The National Elections Board official in Guder Gizachew Dhiba says 53,000 people had registered to vote.
